8th Gen Corolla Rear Disc Conversion Notes

Important Notes:

  1.  5th and 6th gen celica rear disc brakes fit 8th gen corollas (with 8th gen rear hubs)
  2. 5th gen celica rotors DON’T fit 8th gen rear hubs!
  3. 6th gen celica rotors DO fit 8th gen rear hubs
  4. It’s possible to use the old 8th gen corolla rear drum as a template to drill out the 6th gen celica rear rotors
  5. After 4×100 conversion 2 holes will be close to the 5×100 holes, this is okay!
  6. 8th gen corolla rear brake cable fits ( the pins are loose, but this is okay!)
  7. The rear parking brakes are a pain to adjust, and mine are still rubbing and it’s annoying!
  8. Your front brakes are going to lock up easily especially in the rain. You need the celica brake proportional valve or an adjustable brake proportional valve. Disc brakes need more fluid pressure than drums.
  9.  With the proportional valve setup for a near front/rear brake bias balance, and decent tires your brake performance will improve.
